Airlink resumes flights to Lesotho

Airlink will resume daily scheduled air services between Johannesburg and Maseru from 29 March 2021. 

This follows the re-opening of Lesotho’s borders and the lifting of travel restrictions that curtailed travel between the neighbouring countries while they both worked to contain the spread of the Coronavirus.

“After a disruption of several weeks, Airlink is looking forward to welcoming customers onto its flights that provide vital connections supporting trade, business, tourism and family ties between South Africa and the Mountain Kingdom,” said Airlink CEO, Rodger Foster.

Daily return flights between the two cities provide travellers with seamless connectivity with Airlink’s comprehensive network that links South African domestic and Southern African regional destinations. 

Flight Schedule

Johannesburg – Maseru (from 29 March 2021)

Flight 4Z 052, will depart Johannesburg daily at 09h35 arriving in Maseru at 10h35.
Flight 4Z 053 will depart Maseru at 11h00 arriving in Johannesburg at 12h05. 

Airlink intends to add more flights to the schedule in accordance with demand.

Lesotho and South African Biosecurity and Travel regulations

Please check with the appropriate Lesotho government authority for the latest regulations for travel from and returning to Lesotho.

South Africa has introduced additional measures for international travellers arriving in the country. Click here for information on these requirements. Please note that all arriving travellers are now required to provide a negative Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) COVID-19 test certificate, issued by an accredited laboratory in line with World Health Organisation standards, no more than 72 hours before the date of travel. South African Authorities reserve the right to verify the authenticity of presented PCR test certificates.

Arriving travellers unable to produce a valid certificate will be required to quarantine, at their own cost.
